I glad for her but …
I glad for her but god-this book is for oprah and rich woman who need a good cry or people who have never dealt with addiction.I think my story aint much compared to some and that made it hard for me in the begging comparing myself to others and saying-maybe i aint that bad.But my story would blow this out of the water.I wish i came from a great home-had insurence or money to get treatment and got sober 15 years earlier than i did.I should write a book and speak ed up family in tow.

truth is there’s no …
truth is there’s no such thing as alcoholism/addiction. so-called alcoholic drinking/using is just one expression of a compulsive personality. the key to lasting and satisfying recovery, therefore, isn’t simply to stop drinking and using but, rather, to move beyond the entire compulsive lifestye. takes more work than your typical recovery program but well worth it in the end. anything short of this will leave you struggling with depression and anxiety, as well as relapse.

Why don’t you …
Why don’t you properly label this? Alcohol is an addictive drug; and, it is probably the most harmful of all addictive drugs, aside from tobacco. There is no real difference between Alcohol and any other addictive drug, aside from the fact Alcohol causes more problems when abused. We need to stop differentiating between the two, it is a completely fictitious separation. Alcoholism is drug addiction, plain and simple. I say cheers to anyone that can overcome either;but,be real about it.
