A&E Intervention – Laney Pt. 4
Laney is an alcoholic who has lost everything she had dreamed for. She has already been to the Emergency Room numerous times and once to the ICU. Her body is heavily damaged from years of abuse. Desparate for attention from her divorced husband whom she still has feeling for, her days are full of binge drinking for hours at a time. Laney’s family is upset that it has gotten this far. Laney has also openly mentioned suicidal thoughts as well pushing the family for an intervention as soon as possible. Can Laney get help before it’s too late?

people wonder why the parmedics would not touch her until she was out,first thing she said to the producers was if you open the door i will sue the off you, she wants to be the center of attention, which is probably why she agreed to do the show to begin with!!!!

Laney annoys me soooo much. And I know it’s the alchohol talking, but I’ve seen alchoholics act better than her. Her attitude and judgements really me off.

I watch all these intervention shows b/c i myself have been down this road before. I did the same thing that Laney did with the pills but I did it in front of my mother and my mom didn’t try to stop me because i guess she thought i wouldn’t do it but i did. I wish my family did an intervention like this on me years ago.I have lots of regrets, and i wish i cud go back in time but i can’t.

Hey alone, check out how many Thumbs Up you got! I agree, she definitely made a point of doing the overdose when the camera crew were there. Interesting she did that with a camera crew of strangers and not her family. Like she wanted someone who has no preconceptions to react in a way her family had become immune to…

out of all the intervention’s i’ve seen, laney is the most severe one….she is very angry and bitter and comes off like a real smart ass…if she didn’t want help she woudln’t have pulled that pill overdose in front of the crew like that…if she wanted to die she would have done it with nobody looking so she does want help….she’s 2yrs older then me and i do feel for the girl and the kitty kat……in all the intervention’s i watch everybody has a cat or a dog….

I know people say …
I know people say that Laney is selfish, but my Mother was this type of an alcoholic. They’re so angry; they want you to know and they need your help so badly but they just can’t let go of that anger. It takes a lot of strength for someone who has built up a wall to reach for help. I very much hope she somehow managed to help herself.

Panic can be normal …
Panic can be normal, but some people get them constantly without reason. My family has a history of mental illness. I didn’t even know what they were, all I knew is that when I’d try to fall asleep, I’d stop breathing and wake up, so for me, unless I’m sedated, I can’t fall/stay asleep. I view it as something medical, not an emotional thing. It’s an annoying quirk. I would say that many people who say they have panic attacks are mentally weak and want to avoid responsibility like these folks.
