Realizing that AA is the problem helps free people to find actual workable solutions.

Does anyone know someone who could not get sober? How about someone who died from drug addiction?

Nice….really for me it was learning that I had done my best without help. Now I am going to ask someone that has been threw it and has been successful. Having a HP is the first step to to realizing that you are the problem and need God to help. Why not? Being clean is it’s reward. Have a relationship is just a bonus.

    Im tired of people …
Im tired of people assuming that the support so many people contribute to a higher power is actually coming from a higher power, possibly it is, but dosn’t it make sense too that the person that trust’s a higher power is recieving positive energy solely from the believe that they are being taken care of and have direction to there lives, maybe that’s what keeps people in aa sober, regardless of if a higher power actually exists.

I realize this and I did notice that. But none the less they are employeeing people. I would like to see why they had to spent that much on legal expenses. But that is about it.

  13. blamethenile Says:

    @Godlyguitarman …
@Godlyguitarman Non-profit organizations like AA CANNOT show a “profit”. Did you notice the $2million+ payroll for their fourteen top employees? How about their legal expenses? Mike

    Don’t worry about …
Don’t worry about that haters. BTW if you had find the tax return on-line for AA it states that from 96-99 they profitted 1573.00 after expences and they took in 20 million on books sales they only made less than 1% over a four year period. the report doesnt show if you read all of it very much anyway God Bless.

    Please visit …
Please visit exposeaa.webs. We are looking for people who have been forced to participate in the 12 step cult by employers and courts. We are also looking for individuals who have been denied an organ transplant for failing to participate in the AA cult. Please tell your story. Together we can change things.

    tried to google AA …
tried to google AA GSO tax returns and i didnt find anything, maybe because my english isn’t very good, i dont say u lie. My expirence with AA (and the sponsor thing) in denmark is very different from what u describe. My sponsor has no more power/influence over me than my friends or family have.
The sentence “Do the steps or die” is horribel if u ask me. Generally(i’ve never heard it myself) we dont say stuff like this in denmark. AA isn’t perfect but as i know it, it isn’t a cult

  18. blamethenile Says:

    Google AA GSO tax …
Google AA GSO tax returns, and see what the top ten people at the top of the AA food chain make per year. The steps are written at a fourth grade reading level, so, by your rationale, only the semi-literate have a use for sponsors in the first place. Such is not the case. Sponsors exert influence, and influence=power. Mike

  19. troelslarsen190582 Says:

    the money goes to …
the money goes to renting room for meeting, public-information, translation of litteratur and stuff like that.
These so called leaders have no power, sponsor dont have any sponsors over their sponsees they only helps them through the 12 steps.

  21. blamethenile Says:

    Re-read the …
Re-read the title-it asks the question. You, it seems vote “no” on AA’s cult status. Fair enough, but in response–
AA has had lots of charismatic personalities who would qualify as leaders in its history, starting, of course, with Bill. There are several today on the high-dollar speaker circuit, whose sponsorship trees fill up ball-rooms. As for the money, where do you suppose it goes? From the basket and literature sales straight into thin air?
Glad it is working out for you. Mike

  22. troelslarsen190582 Says:

    this video is so …
    this video is so lame..
who is the cult leader AA’s are following???
    no-one..
    who gets the money collected??
    no-one
AA isn’t perfect but this video is silly. My life has chanced radical to the better since I’ve started going to meetings and have done the 12 steps. Love from Denmark

    OK… thats …
    OK… thats reasonable

  24. Remix4357 Says:

    The fact of the …
The fact of the matter is this. AA is designed for you to live in the real world as a happy, useful person. Those people who just go to meetings all day long are ignoring what the program is meant for them to do – live life sanely in the real world. In the Big Book it says even if you go to the arctic tundra, an eskimo may show up with a 5th of whiskey. Hiding is not the solution to the alcoholic dilemma. Embracing inner strength and firm moral principles is.

  25. Remix4357 Says:

    zooromeo, because …
zooromeo, because AA is run autonomously, there are some groups run very well, others run poorly. There is no authority with the power to centrally establish or sanction groups – the strongest sanction is to be delisted in the group directory. For people who have little time of sobriety, it’s recommended that you immerse yourself in AA. But my sponsor, who has 10 years of sobriety, says “if you have a year of sobriety and you have no life, get the out into the real world! Stop hiding!”
