Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) says that people don’t get sober without God?

Why does God help alcoholics get sober yet he doesn’t help starving children from dying? Does that make any sense?

AA seems like a CULT.

You are absolutely right! This makes no sense. Read the AA Big Book and the history of AA, and you’ll see how crazy the whole idea really is.

Of course, people quit drinking when they decide they’ve had enough. The social support in AA can be helpful (until the sexual predators start hitting on you, which takes a few days).

It has more to do with admitting you’re powerless and you don’t control life.

I don’t like the pushing God angle either, but if it helps people then i’m all for it.

IT’S A GREAT QUESTION! AND WHY DOES GEORGE BUSH BELIEVE HE’S ACTING IN THE WAY GOD WOULD WANT? CAN’T ANY FOOL LAY CLAIM TO DIVINE GUIDANCE AS AN EXCUSE FOR ANY ACTION?

This is why I am Atheist. I also don’t understand why God would permit "Lucifer" to make everyone suffer and be in pain. What the hell is the point of creating things and letting them suffer, allowing them to die and suffer forever and ever after that? That’s the most retarded thing I have ever heard!

AA is just saying that because Christianity and "believing in God" SUPPOSEDLY is mainstream American thinking. Over all I would say its some kind of sick advertising using pathos to play on people emotions to get them to use their services so they can get all famous and be "hero’s" to the American public.

    They suck.

    P.S.
It’s okay if you don’t understand my little rant
